Bruce had needed a small break from New York, and well he was used to the desert, which was why he had gone off to New Mexico. Of course he had a cell on him, just in case Tony wanted him to return but for now he was alone.

Making his way into the diner he waited a moment, the waitress nodding to one of the tables. With a muttered thanks he went to it, pulling his laptop out of his backpack, may as well check in with things back home.

The usual reports told him that things were still in one piece. She came over to take the order and he gave it. So far so good, not like he was looking for a fight though.

A hell of a lot better. Her eyes look slightly different and she's not looking on the verge of a big panic attack. Her hair looks much more tame too.

"Feeling better too," she agrees.

"Thanks, by the way. For the help."

[spittake]

"Don't mention it, could say I've been there before." He smiled. "Just glad that no one was hurt."

[didnotwant]

She actually looks a bit awkward. She had explained a little bit about her 'condition' since her hand had partially shifted outside the bar.

"Yeah." She smiles slightly. "I've been trying to manage that.... Condition I have as best I can."

[spittake]

He gave a weak smile.

"Even if you had a problem I think I might have been able to handle it."

[didnotwant]

She just looks embarrassed.

"I'm glad you didn't have to. I try to keep myelf away from people when I know there's going to be an...incident."

[spittake]

"At least you get a warning." That was whispered low.

[didnotwant]

She looks sad about that. "I'm sorry," she says for his ears alone.

"I understand what it's like. Kind of."

[spittake]

"It's alright I've accepted it now, and glad I could help you the other day."

[didnotwant]

She smiles tiredly and nods her head slowly. "Me too. I don't....Never mind."

[spittake]

The waitress came by again and he refilled his coffee. "Yeah better topic now."
